Cool podcast. Just found you guys. Thanks for putting it out there.
I do a fair amount of running myself, but I am always glad to hear running stories and advice.
I liked your coverage of the hydration packs. I think you hit most of salient points. I like the Nathan's gear as well, but am making a move away from bladders as they are harder to maintain, refill, and difficult to mix drinks (i.e., one water and one sports drink). I just recently picked up the PB Adventure vest from Ultimate direction. I've only had one run with it (a 22 mile training run). It was quite comfortable. Overall a good pack. I plan to really put it to the test this summer on some long trail races. I know one of the races has a couple of long section between aid stations, so I may carry a little extra water for those sections (in addition the couple of 20 ounce bottles).
Looking forward to catching up on the backlog of shows. It will make for good long run listening material. 🙂
Hi Dale,
Glad you found us. Thanks for the feedback. Good point on having the one bottle water and one sports drink. Let us know how that Ultimate Direction pack works out.
Thanks for listening,
Elena and Mark
